Description of awareness programme

7) An Investor awareness programme was conducted by DNBS, TVPM at Muthukulam Block Panchayat Office, Alappuzha Distrit on 14-12-2015 in coordination with Sneha Financial Literacy Centre sponsored by IOB. The programme was attended by around 140 Anganawadi Teachers / Kudumbasree units in the Panchayat. The participants were briefed about various categories of NBFCs operating in the State and their functioning. Topics on money chain activities, pyramid schemes, ponzy schemes, features of genuine currency notes, identification of fake notes, note refund rules,etc., were handled by the officials. Financial Literacy brochures on NBFCs were distributed among the participants.
