Description of awareness programme

The Investor Awareness Programme (IAP) was the first conducted by the DNBS Cell, Gangtok. The Cell was opened in the second half of the year 2016. The programme was attended by around 100 students and teachers of the college and was very interactive through active participation by the audience. The programme was inaugurated by Shri Manabendra Misra (GM, O-I-C), RBI, Gangtok and the sessions were taken by Shri Somen Bhattacharya, AGM on RBI Act provisions pertaining to monitoring of deposit taking activities by Non-Banking companies/ other companies which do not conform to the PBC norms, prohibition on deposit acceptance by unincorporated bodies, the PID Act of Sikkim, etc. The feedback was very encouraging for the DNBS Cell at Gangtok.
