Description of awareness programme

Shri M K Verma, Regional Director (RD), Bihar and Jharkhand, Reserve Bank of India addressed the members of public and students of Raja International Girls School, Danapur about difference between banking and non-banking financial services and the precautions to be taken while placing deposits in NBFCs. An animation titled “Mani loses money” prepared by Reserve Bank Staff College Chennai was also shown to demonstrate the problems arising from putting deposits in NBFCs without due diligence. RD and other officers of RBI later answered questions of the audience related to banking.
