Description of awareness programme

A presentation was delivered by the Market Intelligence Cell, Kanpur during the workshop ‘Forex For You’ at Hotel Piccadily, Lucknow on January 21, 2017. The audience consisted of 80 participants from Commercial Bankers, Authorized Dealers and Exporters/ FFMCs. They were sensitized about the modus operandi used by the Unincorporated Bodies for accepting deposits from public or duping them in the process of granting loan at low rates of interest. Information about submission of complaints or information about the UIBs through SACHET website was also disseminated. Besides this, they were informed about the various entities either using the name of existing NBFC or using fake CoR purportedly issued by RBI for duping public. They were also urged to disseminate information among their customers, family members and other acquaintances.
