Description of awareness programme

Financial Literacy Camp at Shivaji Park, Mumbai, on December 5 and 6, 2015 Issue Department, Mumbai Office had organized a financial literacy camp on December 5 & 6, 2015 at Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai on occasion of Mahaparinirvan Divas of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. During two days, about 12000 pamphlets cautioning Depositors about NBFCs, UIBs, MLM, CIS etc. were distributed. In addition pamphlets, posters on currency note features, deposit insurance, and comic books on financial literacy were also distributed and relevant videos played. Representatives from Financial Inclusion and Development Department (FIDD), Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) and Department of Payment and Settlement System (DPSS) were also present at the event to educate and spread awareness among the public.
